There are seven cheetahs in the batch being shipped to India, five female and three male. They are all younger than 5.5 years old.
On September 17, which also happens to be Prime Minister Modi’s birthday, eight Namibian cheetahs will be transported to Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park and released into their new home. They will be transported by a Boeing 747-400 from Namibia’s capital, Windhoek. The main cabin will house them in cages. On the flight, vets will have complete access to them. There won’t be a pause for food breaks and they won’t be provided any food to keep them from getting sick. They’ll get there early on Saturday in Jaipur.
