Russia demolished a part of an apartment building while residents slept on Friday in a missile attack near the port of Ukraine’s Odesa. Authorities stated that at least 21 people were killed after the Russian troops deserted the Black Sea outpost of Snake Island.
The workers were picked up by residents in the resort village of Serhiivka from the remains of the nine-story apartment block, where a section of the block had been destroyed in the strike that took place in the early morning. The walls and windows of the neighboring 14-story apartment block were also damaged by the Missile blast wave. The holiday camps that were nearby were also hit because of the blast.
A nearby person named Oleksandr Abramov, who rushed to the scene after he heard the blast said that they came to the site to access the situation with the emergency workers and locals and helped those who survived and also those who died, unfortunately. They helped carry them away.
A spokesman for the Odessa regional administration, Serhiy Bratchuk, stated that 21 people had been confirmed killed even including a 12-year-old boy. Among the casualty was an employee of the Children’s Rehabilitation Center that was set up by Ukraine’s neighbor Moldova in the resort.
