She said that she had to run because the gates of her house were weak and the people can easily barge in the house, she added saying that she still don’t know whether her house is burnt on not, as many houses were burnt in the violence.
She also said that no police stopped the miscreants from creating a ruckus, they never stopped the miscreants from burning houses, and they did not stop them physically from doing so. She cried saying that she wants to go back with her family, but she is unsure if she and her kids will survive there or not.

Manipur CM against Illegal Immigrants
In an Interview with India Today, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh accused himself of not controlling the horrific violence in the state even after 3 months. He claimed that the clash between the two communities was fuelled due to illegal immigrants and drug lords. He added to his statement saying that he is not against Kukis but the illegal immigrants.
N Biren Singh on Wednesday while addressing a gathering on Kargil Vijay Diwas, restated that there will be no separate administration in the state. He also said that the state government was tenacious in locating and expelling illegal immigrants. He reiterated that the state government will locate all the illegal immigrants and remove them from the state.
The CM also warned Mizoram CM Zoramthaga to not interfere in the state’s internal affairs of the state otherwise the consequences will not be good. The Manipur CM also pointed out the abusive words used against him in a rally held at Mizoram where the CM of Mizoram was also present in the rally.
Biren Singh also mentioned that the government is putting all its effort to restore peace and harmony in the state, by holding meetings and discussing with various stakeholders and representatives of different communities. He also added that the government is building shelters for those people who have relocated to another place due to the horrific situation in the state.
The reason behind the Manipur Violence
The Meitei and Kuki are the two communities of Manipur. Meitei has 53% of the state with a population of 2.85 million, according to the last census in 2011, but they occupy only 10% of its land and live mostly in the Imphal valley and Kuki’s and Naga’s constitute 40% and majorly live at the hill districts.
Clash broke out between the two communities in Manipur on May 3 after Meitei’s demanded to consider them under Scheduled Tribe status and hence a protest took place against the Meitei communities that left the entire state in terror.
Kukis are predominantly Christian Meiteis are mostly Hindu, but Meitei contains a small number of Christians and Muslims as well. Instead of religious differences, ethnic divisions have caused the bloodshed.
Amid the violence continued in the state of Manipur, a video of two women paraded naked in Manipur’s Kangpokpi went viral on July 19 and this incident was brought into the notice on May 4, which sparked outrage in the state.
