Due to the development in the telecom industry, the network upgraded itself from 3G to 4G, but now our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the new and updatedĀ 5G services in select cities on Saturday (October 1) which includes the inauguration of the six editions of the Indian Mobile Congress 2022 in New Delhi.

All the above-mentioned official confirmation is done and released by the Government itself on Friday, September 30.
The newly developed 5G service will be launched by the Prime Minister in select cities on Saturday and will progressively cover the entire country under its Rader over the next couple of years,ā the Ministry of Communications said in a statement regarding the new launch of the 5G services”
The new 5GĀ services can unleash new economic opportunities and societal benefits giving it the potential for being a transformational force for Indian society ā¦ The cumulative economic impact of 5G on India is expected to reach $450 Billion by 2035.ā
Spectrum auctions:
Recently in the last month of the recent year, Indiaās biggest ever spectrum auction had come to an end, with bids upwards of Rs 1.5 lakh crore coming in after seven days of bidding spread over 40 rounds, belying initial expectations that the auction process would be wrapped up in under three days.
Out of the total 72GHz,51.2 GHz of the spectrum was sold out on the auction which was nearly 71% of the total percentage. After the sale out The Union Minister of Communications, Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the total spectrum sold on this auction itself was āgood enoughā for covering all the circles in the entire country, estimating āgood coverageā of 5G in the next two or three years.
Service rollout:
While at the same time the entire government has not yet specified the cities in which the PM will first launch 5G services,Ā on the other side the telecom operators have already revealed how they will plan to roll out the 5G services on their network.Ā
Reliance Jio, which was the top spender at this yearās 5G spectrum auctions bidding an amount of more than Rs 88,000 crore, said in August that it will roll out high-speed mobile internet services on its 5G network by Diwali in metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata by Diwali this year.
By December 2024, which is less than 18 months from today, we will deliver Jio 5G to every town, every taluka, and every tehsil of our country,ā Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani said addressing RILās 45th annual general meeting in August.
At the auction, Bharati Airtel grabbed the second position and said that 5G will be available on their network in all urban parts of the country by the end of 2024. Also, they said that 5G will be available in towns and key rural areas by the month of March 2024.
The third highest bidder on the auction is none other than the Vodafone Idea( Vi) also officially announced its various 5G plans. In the fifth position of the bidding is Adani Data Networks,Ā which is a subsidiary of the Adani Group, which has said that it will not offer consumer-led 5G services for now, and only focus on enterprise use cases. In the spectrum auction, it acquired spectrum only in the 26 GHz band which is best suited for business-level use cases of 5G.
