7 injured and 8 died a horrific death by falling into drain at N Chandrababu Naidu’s roadshow, the leader of Andhra-Pradesh’s Telegu Desam Party.
Tragically, 8 attendees of N chandrababu’s roadshow died and several are said to be injured. It happened after falling into a drain canal while the onset roadshow in Amravati.
According to police, eight individuals were spot dead and seven are brutally injured after falling into a drain canal in Kandukur town, Nellore district, among the injured there was a woman also who died as a result.
Mr. Naidu, the leader of the opposition in the state assembly, he was scheduled to speak at a meeting in Kandukur town. As part of his “Idemi Kharma Mana Rashtraniki (Why is our state experiencing this fate?)” campaign.
As per source there were a sizable crowd assembled to witness Naidu’s speech. He was addressing the people when the incident happened.
Based on preliminary evidence, they claimed that there was some hustle kind situation among the audience during the meeting that resulted in a panic like environment at the canal.
Nellore Police says; “As Mr. Naidu’s convoy approached the area in the evening, a rush began. To get a better look at the leader, the assembled rushed forward immediately. This sudden rush resulted crack on a cement fence. Hence, causing several people to fell into an adjacent open drain canal. In which 8 have died”.
They further added; “Although the reason of the mishap is still on investigation, a clearer picture will arrive later the investigation”.
The injured were immediately ran down towards the hospital for intensive care.
After the misfortune Naidu abruptly called off the meeting and promised the surviving family members of the eight who died by falling of the drain canal a sum of 10 lakh rupees.
Further, he requested that the injured receive better medical attention from the party officials.

Mr. Naidu, who created the campaign slogan “Quit jagan, rescue Andhra Pradesh,” has declared that if his part is not returned to power in the year 2024 elections, then it will be his last time standing in the state elections.
Meanwhile, Due to drain issue across Andhra-Pradesh Chief Minister Y S jagan Mohan Reddy complained to the center on Wednesday that Telangana’s unauthorized irrigation projects on the krishna River depleting his state’s share of the river’s water supply and also asked for an early approval for the Rayalaseema lift irrigation project.
Additionally, he also requested approval for the upper Sieru pumped storage power project and the 230 MW lower hydro power project (1350 MW).
Reddy also raised the issue of the Telangana government “acting unilaterally” and “violating all the operational procedures, agreements, and directions of the Krishna River Management Board” In the meeing about the joint Reservoir projects at Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar on the Krishna River.
