A policeman in UP reported the unhygienic food served in the canteen. As a result of reporting the issue, he has been punished with a transfer of service.
Speaking out about injustice has caused a transfer of service for a policeman in the UP. Manoj Kumar, a 26-year-old police officer, recorded a video about the injustice done to police officers in the canteen.
He said that the canteen served unhygienic food. The video went viral because of the pathetic state of policemen.
A friend of Manoj Kumar stated his regrets for the injustice done to him. He also added that Manoj Kumar was from a poor financial background and worked as a laborer to fund his education.
The policeman was transferred to Ghazipur District After Reporting
Following the video, the policeman was transferred from Firozabad to the Ghazipur district.
Manoj Kumar, being the only breadwinner in the family, had to travel for 600 km. The policeman reported that the food served in the canteen would not even be consumed by the dogs.
The police serve the public. If their health is not concerned, then what else will be?
Public servants like policemen should be treated with due respect for their diligence and service to the public. Speaking out against injustice is a human right that cannot be taken away by transferring the officer.
Since this issue went viral on social media, the Firozabad Senior Superintendent of Police circulated an order to the officials to inspect the quality of food served in the canteens.
This is not the first issue reported by the police. Several issues, such as accommodation, work pressure, and coworker humiliation, have been reported in the past.
Despite the minimum salary paid to Indian policemen, they have been working all day to strive for the nation.
So, the government should take the initiative to resolve the issues reported by the policemen.
