The FUTURE OF EDUCATION SYSTEM

Firstly and rightly, it is pertinent for us to ask ourselves; how much does how we gain education or children obtaining education affect us and the country as a whole? How much does it affect the way we think? At present, the situation in our education system is that the students passively listen to lectures, mug up the study material before the exams, and blurt it all out on the answer papers. So How the FUTURE OF  the EDUCATION SYSTEM will be? 

There is no active learning happening as such. Such a system barely prepares them for the world outside. Practical learning is not given much importance. There is no input of their own. That is what should change and it is slowly changing; slowly but surely.

A mode of learning exists where the material is taught by a professor but where students analyze the study material and make their inferences on the subject.

A significant role will be placed on mental health so that students can focus clearly and avoid burnout. A lot of the students currently experience academic stress and anxiety because they are not provided activity or a schedule where they could focus on their mental and emotional well-being.

This would be a pinnacle of development in the future of education and would pave the way for the students to deal with stress in a more effective and safe environment.

Classrooms will be no more confined to a system where a professor is speaking while all the students are listening. It will be turned into community rooms where students can have leisure time with books, coffee, music, etc.

such a classroom will enhance the thinking capacity of the students, and thought processing will be made on a wider scope and will be more social, communicative, and interactive this way. Subjects of study will be changed from the basics of English, math, and science to design, coding, and financial literacy.

Learning about subjects will be student-centric ie it will be based on the student’s preferences. It will be their choice to learn which subject and which not to.

Also, mentoring will be the way of the future. The professors and teachers will have a personalized teaching method and they will be connected on a personal level and it will be customized to each student. And they will stay connected through social media.

Students will participate in more on-the-ground training to help them develop skills on a professional level and they will gain more knowledge on a practical basis rather than a theoretical basis. Internships and internship opportunities have been created so that students can use their knowledge and theories for application in real life.

Collaboration is becoming a power to put your skills to use.

And these skills can be learned from anywhere across the world seeing now there are a lot of online sites or applications where courses can be learned online from any corner of the world. And the future of employment opportunities is going to be based on specialization and that is where these skills can come in handy. And technology has developed so much that collaborating and working with people around the world is much less complicated.

As said before, specialization will be the key to employment in the future. Specialization means that everyone will have different skill sets and that each person will be unique and that is how our education system will also progress. Vast knowledge of a compact set of subjects rather than little knowledge of a varied number of subjects.

But does modernity lead to disruption? The question pertains. Such learning eventually leads to repeating and recreating the same content over and over again and might not lead to the expected revolutionized method of teaching and learning.

To introduce a system of education from a new perspective, we must first visualize it in such a way that is productive and possible with revolution. The plethora of changes should be created in such a way that it could be incorporated productively and successfully such that it can be consumed by the students healthily.

De-stigmatization of mental health, emotional well-being, and therapy should be a non-negotiable event so that the students are capable to handle all the obstacles and unhappy experiences in a healthy manner.
