Keeway’s collaboration was the key to entering India. Their segments of vehicles were targeting mid-range audiences like the 300 to 400cc segments. Keeways made a showcase of an entry with it three vehicles the K-Light 250v, the sixties 300i, and the Vieste 300 which was quite a good entry into the market of automobiles in India. They must have thought that Indian people were into scooters and cruisers.
But the after Keeway’s establishment of their vehicles in the automobile market. In the middle, they found out that their market for vehicles is in the midst of youngsters. So for that, they launched two vehicles one is K300 N, and K300 R which were a nacked version and a racing version.
But for now, they made a silent launch and that’s the SR 125. This launch with is an astroid attack for many 125cc brands like, ktm, Yamaha, Bajaj, Honda, and Hero because all these brand has developed themselves in the market by commuter series of vehicles. But this SR 125 has it own positives and negatives so let’s speak about it.
So the SR 125 comes with a Single Cylinder, 4 Stroke, 2 Valves, Air Cooled Engine, SOHC. and its gives a performance with a power ratio of 9.7 HP @9000 RPM, and torque of 8.2 Nm @7500 RPM. The suspensions are of telescopic with 128 mm travel in the front and the rear has a Telescopic coil Spring Oil damped with 29mm Travel. It has 5-speed transmission which must be 5 gears which is okay for a 125cc and has a ground clearance of 160mm
The plus side of this its wheelbase is slightly shorter compared to Hunter 350. It has a 14.5-liter tank which is more for a 125cc and I liked it personally. There is a combi brake system here with 210mm disc at the front and 300mm at the rear but coming to know by a test drive of this works compared to ABS, and for this segment, it might be too big. the price looks average for a 125cc which is 1.19lacs. it comes with three colours which glossy white, glossy Red, glossy back.
The wheels of SR 125 are spoke wheels so they must have tube tires as the front and back have 17inch tyers. As for now must not decide on a vehicle with a specification we need to feel and decide it on a test drive.
