Post the arrest of Aryan Khan, son of superstar Shahrukh Khan for alleged possession of banned drugs; the flame has raised once again around drug consumption among Bollywood Celebrities.Â
Saturday evening, an NCB team smashed a drugs party on the Cordelia Cruise ship, heading to Goa at mid-sea. Eight people, including Aryan Khan, were detained for interrogation by the NCB reportedly connected with the cruise’s drug seizure. As per the NCB Mumbai Director Sameer Wankhede. Â
Mumbai police arrested all the eight people detained from the cruise on Sunday. Â

While the people related to the Hindi film industry have been accused of drug use on several occasions, the debate around the topic gained popularity post the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June 2020.Â
In September 2020, NCB also summoned actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and others to record their statements with the agency’s probe against the “drug syndicate”.Â
Comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa were also arrested by NCB in November, following the alleged seizure of ganja from their house. Â
TV actors Sanam Johar and Abigail Pande were summoned, and their house was raided. Â
In December 2020, NCB had issued a notice to director Karan Johar over a video of a party he had organized in 2019, where several Bollywood celebrities were present.Â
The viral video featured Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Varun Dhawan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Ayan and others. After seeing the clip, many people alleged that top stars at the party were flaunting a “drugged look”.Â

Fardeen Khan, the son of legendary actor Feroz Khan, has worked in films like Om Jai Jagdish, Fida, No Entry and several others. Mumbai Police arrested Fardeen in 2001, and the actor was caught with 9 gm of cocaine. Fardeen had to undergo a detoxification course to get rid of the habit in the same year. Â
