From 2010, Indian Organ Donation Day has been observed to honor the contributions given to the society by dead donors and their families.””It gives me great pleasure to share that the total number of organ transplants done per year in the country has increased from 4,990 in the year 2013 to 12,746 in the year 2019.

The health minister urged individuals to promise to donate their organs, spread the news about the scarcity of organs available for transplant in the nation, and motivate others to do the same.
