Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion Tour 2022, powered by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) in its 16th edition, brought great energy and made a huge noise as the show was hosted at Gurugram, the library ground, and the Gymkhana club.
About the event
Designer Kunal Rawal debuted his collection, “Pride in Celebrating Diversity by Defying Labels,” which was inspired by the strength of individuality and was presented through distinctive musical storytelling in upbeat compositions by Hardy Sandhu, one of India’s most popular and multifaceted musicians. Vicky Kaushal, an actor, was a showstopper who ended the event on a high note and improved it with her enthusiasm and smart appearance.
In modern Indian fashion, Kunal Rawal is renowned for introducing statements of inclusivity that celebrate the idea of embracing our diversity with pride. The designer’s belief in the individuality of every person is evident in his provocative designs and his decision to collaborate with Hardy Sandhu to offer a fashion show that is provocative, loud, and replete with groovy vibes for the event. The show was made into a truly inclusive presentation thanks to the broadcast of influencers and models from various cultures, who walked the ramp in Kunal Rawal’s ensembles with flying colors.
Every aspect of the evening was infused with the youthful, dynamic displays of “Pride & Authenticity” of India. As a representation of the tastes of the current generation, the fashion show featured contemporary silhouettes that take on ethnic Indian clothing. The most well-known songs by Hardy Sandhu, which routinely rank at the top of music charts and win over younger audiences, blended incredibly well with Kunal Rawal’s overall design aesthetic.
Designers take on the event
Designer Kunal Rawal said of the event, “I’m happy to be part of the 16th edition of the Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion Tour, as it emerges to take on a fresh and daring new avatar. I’m proud of the diversity in our country, and I’ve put together a collection that celebrates all of our individuality. Hardy Sandhu’s outstanding performance brought the collection to life. It was a night that honored the fusion of contemporary Indian music with a design that was founded on inclusivity”.
Hardy Sandhu, one of India’s top multi-talented musicians, continued, “Working with designer Kunal Rawal was an extraordinary experience and one of which I am immensely proud.” It’s fantastic to have commemorated this at the iconic 16th edition of the Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion Tour because music and fashion are potent mediums for artistically portraying the diversity and inclusiveness that motivates today’s youth.
Kartik Mohindra, Marketing Director of Pernod Ricard India, Sunil Sethi, President of FDCI, and chief curator of the event Ashish Soni expressed their appreciation and mentioned the event as creativity at the next level and that was never seen before.
Style gallery presented at the event
In addition to the amazing fashion show, the evening included a thrilling new feature of the Fashion Tour for this year: the “Style Gallery” called “It’s Not a T-Shirt,” hosted by Ashish Soni and FDCI. This T-shirt display featured outfits created by over 60 local fashion designers and brands which created a design that expresses their genuine interpretation of Pride by adorning or even demolishing the plain t-shirt.
The Fashion Tour’s efforts to become more environmentally friendly and sustainable were put into action when the Style Gallery show was constructed utilizing recycled materials. The “Enter the Metaverse” booth, which was located in the Style Gallery, allowed visitors to interact with the fun elements of the “Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion Tour Park,” the metaverse avatar for the Fashion Tour.
