Draper James, the fashion and lifestyle company co-founded by Reese Witherspoon, is set to make a splash with the launch of its in-house swimsuit line. This exciting new collection will be available for purchase starting Saturday on draperjames.com as well as in-store at their three standalone locations in Nashville, Lexington, and The Galleria in Houston. It’s worth noting that Draper James has been a trailblazer in the swimwear space since introducing their first swimsuit line in collaboration with Lands’ End four years ago.
Erin Moennich, CEO of Draper James, recently announced that their brand will be ending its current business relationship with Land’s End in the coming year. While the partnership has been successful, Moennich expressed the need to bring their category in-house and introduce their first line independently.
As part of its expansion plans, Draper James is set to launch a new swimwear line under their RSVP label at Kohls. The company has sourced this venture from Swim U.S.A., a reputable family-run business with over 87 years of experience. With Moennich at the helm, Draper James continues to evolve and provide high-quality products that resonate with their loyal customers.
The new capsule collection of bikinis, one-pieces, and cover-ups is a great addition to any wardrobe. With a complete size range, from XS to 3X, everyone can find their perfect fit. The collection includes a variety of patterns, such as awning stripes, flowers, gingham, and seersucker.
The price range for these high-quality pieces is between $70 and $128, making them accessible to many customers. The long-sleeved rash guard, traditional triangular halters, and adjustable tie-shoulder bandeaus are just a few examples of designs that will emphasize your waistline.
Moennich is the visionary behind a brand that boasts swimsuits designed with working mothers and color-loving women in mind. The swimsuits are not only feminine but also provide coverage. In addition, matching cover-ups are available to complete the whole-day look. These cover-ups come in bright and happy patterns, similar to the brand’s ready-to-wear collection, which is available in different fabrications. With Moennich’s vision, this brand has become a go-to for those who want to stand out in style and comfort at the beach or pool.
“Lands’ End taught us a lot of things. We preserved the lessons learned but developed them. We desired to test out some fresh corpses that we did not already have from Lands’ End. But, some of their most popular looks served as our inspiration. We’ve always done this Reese’s favorite twisted bodice design, which is extremely feminine, and we adapted it for this collection as well,” Moennich stated.
When asked how business was doing at Draper James, Moennich responded, “Business is terrific. As spring approaches, the momentum is unquestionably improving. With our patterns and vibrant colors, spring is a big time for us. It’s a significant season for us. She said that some of the ready-to-wear prints are present in the swimwear. The ready-to-wear line by Draper James is offered at Belk, Zappos, and Stitch Fix.
In terms of new product categories, Draper James plans to increase its Mommy and Me selection while also offering pet items with Foggy Dog in the autumn.
Draper James long-lasting enterprise
Moennich’s vision for Draper James is focused on creating a sustainable and thriving business that can adapt to the ever-changing landscape of the fashion industry. With a successful sport line launch in January, the brand is already looking ahead to next year with plans to introduce a new swim line annually.
In addition to these ventures, Draper James offers an array of categories, such as handbags, shoes, jewelry, and hair accessories. Moennich’s strategy of diversifying the brand’s offerings has proven successful thus far, and she is committed to keeping it an ongoing business.
Witherspoon’s passion for the fashion industry is evident in her involvement with Lands’ End products. Working closely with the brand for years, she provided valuable inspiration and input on their line, particularly on cover-ups. Moennich spoke highly of Witherspoon’s involvement, noting that she was very hands-on and invested in the process. Witherspoon’s expertise extends beyond her acting career, making her a valuable asset to any project she takes on.
