The demand for having an all-rounder has increased over the years in the T20 games. IPL franchises are always lookout for high-level All-rounder who can handle the match both ways. We look at three All-rounders who can start a bidding war in the 1.5 Crore bracket.
1. Washington Sunder
Washington Sunder has made a stirring comeback in the ongoing ODI series against West Indies after batting COVID-19. India’s off-spinner all-rounder played a vital role in the 1st ODI against West Indies and claimed 3 for 30 to the team’s win.
Sunder has an excellent track record in T20 cricket. He has played over 98 matches, claimed 74 wickets to his name, and has an economy rate of 6.74. Sunder can hold on to keeping things tight for the opponent team.
He has been working on his game for the past couple of years and has started picking more wickets. Sunder is always seen playing for the lower order in the batting line-up, but with this ongoing growth, he can be seen playing for the middle order.
His Playing quality has improved in Test formats too. Sunder has Represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the past seasons. In IPL, Sunder made his debut with Rising Pune Supergiants claiming eight wickets in 11 matches. Sunder has a reasonable economy rate of 6.93 after 42 IPL games.
2. Jason Holder
Former West Indies Caption Jason Holder is in good form. Holder scored a valiant half-century against India in the first ODI in Ahmedabad. Holder brings a lot of skills to look up to in the T20 format.
The slower deliveries by the ball and mixing things around are one of them. Holder’s previous games have shown his all-rounder stability in all formats. Holder played in good form in the five-match T20 series against England. He took 15 wickets at a strike rate of 7.4.
The West Indies Player has made an excellent impression in IPL, especially with the ball. In IPL 2021, Holder picked up 16 wickets in 8 games and performed great with his bat. IN 2020, Holder played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and claimed 14 wickets in 7 matches with 16.64. With his Experience and ongoing form, Holder can demand IPL auction.
3. James Neesham
New Zealand Allrounder James Neesham has played international cricket for a while. Neesham has not achieved his potential for New Zealand or other T20 Leagues. But then, too, he keeps on giving hints about how good he can be in T20 matches.
Neesham played a significant role in the T20 World Cup semi-finals against England. He has claimed 21 wickets from 38 T02I games with an economy rate of 9.22. With the bat, he scored 416 runs at an average of 21.89.
Neesham played his debut match in 2014; since then, he has played 12 IPL matches, in which he claimed eight wickets and scored 61 runs. Neesham’s match-winning skills are what makes him bring up to the biding table.
This year ten franchises will bid to pick the best for their team. Two new franchises, Gujrat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants have joined the Indian Premiere league this year, hoping to give a tough competition to the other teams.
