All Goans would have land rights within six months of the creation of the government,’ says Arvind Kejriwal
Debutante Aam Aadmi Party is putting its best foot forward to swing the polls during the assembly elections in Goa. AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal made a host of announcements in the poll-bound state on Thursday, urging Goans to put him into power for the state’s development.Â
Arvind Kejriwal vowed during his campaign in Poriem, Goa, that if his party is elected, he will grant land rights to all Goan inhabitants within the first six months of taking office. Endorsing his previous pronouncements of free water, education, and electricity, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that with his policies in place, every household will receive a benefit of up to Rs 2 lakhs.
On Sunday, February 6, the Aam Aadmi Party released its poll manifesto for the coastal state, describing it as a proposition based on the three Ps: ‘Progress, Preservation, and Prosperity.’ Manish Sisodia, Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister, released the party’s manifesto.Â
Election Promises from the AAP for Goa:Â
Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP’s chairman and Delhi Chief Minister, had stated that if AAP becomes the government next year, they will provide youth with job prospects under their ‘Employment Guarantee Act,’ and they will be paid a Rs 3,000 unemployment stipend till they are placed.
Kejriwal had announced a free pilgrimage scheme, saying that if voted into power, the AAP administration would offer free Teerth yatra to Ayodhya and religious tours to Ajmer Sharif Dargah, Wellington, and Shirdi to people from various communities.Â
If elected, Kejriwal promised that the AAP government would grant Rs. 5,000 to families of miners and persons working in the tourism industry. He has also outlined an eight-point plan for the development of Scheduled Tribe villages.Â
He also vowed that his government will look after persons in the mining and tourism industries who had lost their employment or experienced significant losses as a result of COVID-19 stated Kejriwal.

 On Sunday, Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia revealed his platform, which focused on the three Ps: Preservation, Progress, and Prosperity. In Shiroda, Cumbarjuna, Cortalim, Nuvem, and Benaulim, the manifesto was unveiled at ‘sabhas.’
The AAP, according to Sisodia, is dedicated to preserving the rich history, tradition, and progress of the city through the development of public utilities, civic infrastructure, and amenities in order to promote the prosperity of every citizen through enhanced governance and holistic development.Â
Mahadev Naik, the Aap’s Shiroda candidate, stated that if the party is elected to power, he will address the unemployment crisis in his area on a priority basis.Â
Mariano Godinho, an AAP candidate in Nuvem, proposed a government policy that will preserve traditional Goan bakers, shack owners, and coconut Plucker’s. He also stated his intention to establish laboratories for testing Formalin in fish and to restore the Sal River.
He promised to set up a farmers market in Nuvem to let farmers to sell their produce directly to consumers, in addition to skill development centers in all of the Constituency’s panchayats.Â
“As the Benaulim business community has grown tired of ‘Haftagiri’ and ‘Dadagiri,’ I guarantee them that if AAP is elected, I would establish a climate that is friendly to business,”
said AAP Benaulim candidate Captain Venzy Viegas. Alina Saldanha, an AAP Cortalim candidate, has vowed to eliminate three linear projects that will cut through Mollem biodiversity, as well as vigorous execution of a 5-kilometer radius prohibition on trawler fishing, LED fishing, and bull trawling, as well as no construction activity within CRZ zones.
She also plans to construct extensive health-care facilities in Cortalim, Quellosim, and Sancole, as well as water reservoirs, to ensure that everyone in the Constituency has access to safe drinking water.Â
In Cumbarjua, AAP candidate Gorakhnath Kerkar promised to fix the constituency’s water crisis and set up an effective waste collection system. He also pledged an uninterrupted electricity supply and good planning to relieve Cumbarjua traffic congestion. Â
