Before leaving, the man is said to have taken money from the women he married. The man who was arrested, on the other hand, rejected the charges.
A man from Odisha has been busted for cheating by marrying fourteen women from seven states within last 48 years. The man’s last wife was aware of his aggressive behaviour and reported him to the police, who jailed him. The man is around 60 years old and hails from Orissa’s Kendrappa district.Â
Regarding his wedding theatrics, the Odisha police said: ‘Kamesh Chandra Swain, this is the name of the individual. They married for the first time in 1982. In 2002, he married for the second time. He has 5 children from his first two marriages. The eldest sons, according to Kamesh, are doctors. His second wife, he added, worked as a physician in a medical centre in Odisha. All of this is being investigated.
From 2002 until 2020, he used several marriage coordination websites to bring many women into his network of friends. The woman he last married is a teacher in Delhi. He’s found out about her previous marriages in some way. We apprehended the man in Odisha after he filed a report.
He mainly targets unmarried ladies in their forties and fifties. This, too, is mainly aimed at divorced women. On matrimonial websites, he gathers information about them. Later, he befriends and marries them, declaring his love for them. He stays with them for a while before taking the money and belongings and fleeing. He has contacted every woman, posing as a doctor.
He claims to have studied complementary and alternative medicine. His credentials must also be examined. Highly educated women, such as lawyers and doctors, are caught up in Kamesh’s web. He even had an affair with a member of the paramilitary force. Delhi, Punjab, Assam, Jharkhand, and Odisha are among the states where he has deceived on women. “His first two wives are from Odisha,” stated Deputy Commissioner Umashankar Das of Bhubaneswar.Â
