Sinead O'Connor was born on December 8, 1966 in Dublin, Ireland. 

She strongly advocated about women's rights, war, and child abuse. 

In 1990, O'Connor released an international hit 'Nothing Compares 2 U',  her most famous track.

O'Connor is known for her unique bald head look as a rebellion against traditional notions of femininity. 

Her first album 'The Lion and the Cobra' fetched her a Grammy nomination.

Apart from singing, O'Connor also tried acting and appeared in Northern Irish TV film 'Hush-a-Bye Baby'.

O'Connor was married four times and had four children 

O'Connor changed her name multiple times in her life, Shuhada' Davitt, after embracing Islam in 2018.

It was O’Connor’s album “I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got” which made her a well-known artist. 

She was embroiled in controversy, once ripping a photo of the pope and later becoming a priest of a Catholic group .
