Amit Shah launched the padayatra named ‘En Mann En Makkal’ meaning ‘My Land My People’ covering all the 234 constituencies of the state on June 28.
While launching the padayatra, Shah describing it as a “political pilgrimage” aiming at disseminating Tamil culture throughout the world, exposing the DMK’s alleged corruption, and promoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s achievements in the state. The event took place at the temple town of Rameswaram.
Game Changer in the state : Shah
“This En Man, En Makkal is not merely a political padyatra,” Shah asserted during his address. “It aims to take the Tamil legacy around the world, to eradicate family dynasty politics, to save Tamil Nadu from corruption, and to strengthen the state’s law and order system.”

The goal of the padyatra, according to Shah, was to “strengthen Tamil culture” and to deliver “PM Modi’s messages.” He applauded Modi’s support of Tamil, citing various occasions such as his mention of Tamil at the UN General Assembly and the release of Thirukkural in Papua New Guinea’s indigenous tongue.
“In the next election in 2024, the BJP and all our allies on the field will be brought to Delhi to rule India,” Shah declared. He also levelled serious allegations of corruption against the DMK and the Congress.
Since K. Annamalai, an IPS officer-turned-politician, became the BJP’s state president, he has been on an aggressive campaign against the governing DMK, bringing out allegations of corruption against the DMK and its senior officials.
As a result, Shah predicted that when Annamalai’s padayatra ended, Tamil Nadu’s politics will alter.
Anti-Incumbency Mood in the State
Critiquing the opposition’s new coalition, Shah stated that altering the name to INDIA will have no effect.
“The DMK-led government in Tamil Nadu is the most corrupt in the world,” Shah said. “There is a rise in fraud in all departments of Tamil Nadu,” Shah added, urging Tamil Nadu residents to send more MPs to Delhi.

The Union Home Minister launched a stinging assault on the DMK government over the arrest of Minister V Senthilbalaji, saying that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin should be embarrassed by the Minister who was arrested and jailed for corruption.
Shah complimented Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts to combat dynastic family dominance and corrupt regimes by listing the welfare initiatives of the Narendra Modi-led NDA government.
The people of Tamil Nadu have developed an anti-incumbency. They will not want DMK or DMK supporting parties to rule them any more, he added.
Shah stated, wherever the Opposition goes in support of votes, people will be reminded of the corruption they did in the past. He highlighted the Commonwealth Games, the 2G fraud, submarine and helicopter scams as examples of incidents that voters will remember.
