In a very shocking move, BCCI (The Board of Control of Cricket in India) have decided to sell just physical tickets for world-cup matches that will be held between October 5 to November 19 in India. There won’t be sell of any E-tickets for matches.
Jay Shah, honourable secretary of the BCCI mentioned that, “In 3-4 days there will be a clear picture of the schedule for 2024 World-Cup India.” There won’t be any changes in the venues, but dates and timings are likely to change. Some reports say that sales of Tickets will be starting from 10th August.
How to Buy Tickets for World Cup?
BCCI (Board of Control of Cricket in India) is likely to put tickets for the 2024 World Cup India for sale on 10th August. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah is in a meeting with state bodies to finalize the price for tickets and maintain the gap between match days. Tickets will be released after finalizing the price after 31st July.
The tickets for the 2024 ODI World Cup India will be available online. Fans are required to bring a physical copy of the ticket even though tickets are sold online. BCCI Secretary confirmed that there would be 7-8 physical ticket-collecting centres in advance. He added that the first BCCI want to introduce E-tickets in Bilateral series than take it to a big event such as World Cup as it would be difficult to manage E-tickets in high-capacity grounds such as Ahmedabad and Lucknow.
In a great Initiative taken by BCCI, they will provide free drinking water to fans in the stadium. Previously, carrying your own water bottles was not allowed in the stadium. Along with free drinking water, facilities of clean washrooms, discounted food across all stadiums in India and proper housekeeping will be provided.
What are the Venues for World Cup in India
The ODI world cup 2024 is set to take place from October 5 between defending champion England and New Zealand in the World’s biggest cricket stadium, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Tournament will be played in a round-robin format. Each tame will face each other once. The top four teams will head towards the semi-final of the Tournament
The other venues for the 2024 World Cup are Pune, Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata, Dharamshala, and Mumbai. India will play its first match in Chennai against Australia. Team India will face their arch-rival Pakistan in Ahmedabad. Final is going to take place on November 19.
Apart from League matches two warm-up games will take place in the Baraspara cricket stadium of Guwhati, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium of Hyderabad, and the Greenfield International Stadium of Thiruvananthapuram.

Various securities agencies are in talks with BCCI for rescheduling of Mega clash between India and Pakistan as it will collide with the first day of the major Hindu festival Navaratri.
