Discussions regarding resuming Rahul’s Lok Sabha membership began after the Supreme Court’s relief. Former Lok Sabha Secretary PDT Achari says that the stay on the sentence means that Rahul Gandhi’s membership will now be restored. Even if it is an interim stay, it is what the law states. It has happened in the past also when a parliamentarian was disqualified due to a sentence awarded by a lower court, but his membership was reinstated after orders from higher courts.
If Rahul’s membership is restored in the next few days, he may attend the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament. It is also being said that Rahul can also participate in the no-confidence motion discussion to be held inside the house.

Rahul will also be eligible to run in elections if he is found not guilty by the court or receives a punishment of less than two years. However, by when this decision will come, it must be seen. Actually, at present, there are eight categories of government accommodation i.e., one to eight. Union ministers get Type-VIII accommodation which is the largest category. Type-V and Type-VII residences are allotted to the MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The rest of the houses of other categories are allotted to government employees. Rahul Gandhi has completed three terms in the Parliament so he is eligible for a Type-VII bungalow.
On March 27, the Lok Sabha Secretariat asked former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi to vacate his official residence by April 22. After this, the Congress leader vacated his official bungalow on 22 April. While vacating the bungalow, he had said that this is the price paid for speaking the truth. After this, He came to stay at his mother’s residence at 10 Janpath. Still, he is living with his mother.
What will happen to salary and allowances?
Rahul Gandhi will be eligible to avail himself of services like assistance, driving along with various allowances given to other MPs as soon as he is reinstated as MP. The Members of Parliament get a salary at the rate of one lakh rupees per month. During any period of residence while on duty, a daily allowance of 2000 rupees is also provided.

What kind of security does Rahul Gandhi live in?
