India’s leading e-commerce companies, Flipkart and Google cloud have formed a multi-year strategic partnership to help accelerate Flipkart’s innovation and cloud strategy.
According to a statement, the alliance is expected to enable Flipkart to move into its next phase of growth, which is to advance its vision of onboarding India’s next 200 million shoppers and lakhs of sellers.
The firm said in an official release that the partnership would allow the website to use Google Cloud’s advanced data analytics and machine learning technologies to make its data platform more efficient.

Jeyandran Venugopal, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Flipkart said in a statement that their strategic alliance with Google cloud would allow them to advance their platform digitally and increase power production on the site.

Flipkart is also planning to rapidly progress the pace of new product development by building on Google cloud to expand more into tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
The online retail company also noted that it plans to make Flipkart more efficient by using Google Cloud’s advanced data analytics and machine learning technologies.
