Prime minister of India, Narendra Damodardas Modi begins an exclusive series of coins on Monday, which are also ‘blind friendly’. These coins will have the design ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in denominations of Rs 1,2,5,10 and 20. These coins are not memorials and will be part of our national expenditure.
“The country has braced the pressure of focused-government governance in the past. But today, the India of the 21st century is moving towards people-centered governance”, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi said while inaugurating the historic week of the Ministry of Finance and Corporate Affairs at Vigyan Bhawan Delhi on Monday.
Narendra Modi said that these coins will remind people of the goal of the new chain of ‘Amrit Kal’ and will inspire people to work towards the growth of the nation.
India’s PM Narendra Modi also introduced the ‘Jan Samarth Portal’.
It is a credit-linked portal of 12 government projects. India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that each of these projects will be displayed on the portal. “This portal will be made very easy for the citizens so that citizens do not have to ask queries again and again and to take advantage of the schemes of the government.
