A social activist has launched an FIR against superstar Allu Arjun for endorsing a misleading advertisement about an educational institution.
The actor has given no official statement to the media in response to the complaint. The silence on his part is seen negatively by the public.
Who filed the complaint?
A social activist, Kotha Upender Reddy, stated that the advertising, which had Allu Arjun as the face it, was deceitful and gave false information.
He also filed a complaint with the Ambarpet police department, alleging that Allu Arjun appeared in the advertisement and that Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions provided incorrect information.
He appeals that Allu Arjun and Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions should be prosecuted for fooling the public.
The specific terms of the complaint could not be gathered yet.
Previous altercations in the name of Allu Arjun
The Pushparaj actor has already received backlash for promoting a meal delivery app – Zomato. Viewers trolled him and the spoof advertisement for apparently mocking the South cinema.
The authorities have also issued him a warning for promoting a bike app while denigrating public transportation.
Allu Arjun’s upcoming movies
The South Superstar was last seen in the superhit film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ in 2021. Actress Rashmika Mandanna and actor Fahadh Faasil also starred in the movie. Since its release, the picture has performed spectacularly at the box office. Besides the film’s theme, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s dazzling dance performance made headlines.
Following the phenomenal success of ‘Pushpa: The Rise,’ Allu Arjun is scheduled to begin filming on the sequel soon.
He also has several additional films under his belt. Some of the most awaited ones include Icon with Venu Sriram and one with Koratala Siva, AR Murugadoss, Boyapati Srinu, and Prashanth Neel.
