When religion comes then discussion upon ‘Dharma’ is a mandate to be presented. It’s no rocket science, undeciphered manuscript or mission impossible but a set of collective opinions which do vary from its believers and practitioners to its followers and observers. In Sikhism, dharma is to serve humanity and save it when oppressed. Is it right? Then going by Hinduism; duties, virtues, going by the karma, and Vedas are the following principles for it and the Islam consists of faith, pilgrimage, zakah, prayers and belief in Prophet’s messages. Other religions like Buddhism, and Jainism too were in existence with their set of morals which govern them but here’s the question comes, which was supreme of all? Was it Hinduism which dated back to 2700 BCE there in being or Islam, Jainism, Buddhism and so on? It can’t be commented upon as all do have differing guiding elements and emerged one after another, might there be time differences in them but one indication was common to all the ‘Power of Almighty’. When there was no contrast, peaceful practices and propagation amongst them initially then the real crux of the matter comes in diagnosis concerning the current time situation of the 21st century we are dealing with, ‘A war-like dominance between two religions and minorities’. Some indefinite claims were produced that the Kabba was a ‘shivling’ and mecca was a sacred Hindu temple but that too were old assumptions and didn’t take place of discussion to prove its veracity. Every time the two religions co-existed though we haven’t seen such conflicts being evoked in other religions but Hindus and Muslims were always in limelight, For this, if you want to say Ram Mandir and Babri Masjid being together or Kashi Vishwanath temple and Gyanvapi Mosque’s concurrence, history traced it and still we are finding evidence.
Turn back the clock for a moment, and take Muhammad Ali Jinnah into your conscious that how he gave a speech on ‘secularism’ in the constituent assembly, 3 days before partition and demanding a separate nation for Hindus and Muslims. Appeared Ironic! He was the prime reason for split hopes, aspirations, and unity and was accused of thousands and lakhs of killings at the time of partition. On a side, Islam followers lie like Prophet Muhammad who promulgated beliefs of their religion peacefully whereas leaders like Jinnah tarnished the whole Muslim community’s representation and roots. Leaders like him are the root cause who deviates from the whole community and promotes communalism. The time of mid nineteens and the time being 2022 has nothing in common in terms of political aspirations but ‘fierce’ hatred developed in two communities of India- ‘Hindus’ and ‘Muslims’ have a lot to scream. A daily dose of accusations on each other through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and many other social media platforms which we all scroll down periodically and the fun fact is a pinch of hypocrisy is sprinkled amongst both communities but neither would agree to their flaws and continues throwing dirt on each other. In a rebellious, unforeseen and chaotic situation incorporating the law and order situation and peace, Sometimes the economy is a significant threat but what is forsaken the most is the working class, common people and youth of the nation, who are more vulnerable to it. If inflation rises, with it a middle-class man’s anxiety too increases, Violence affects the lives of common people and youth stresses over new dynamics implemented in the nation-state and India if you’re not a government-directed protagonist then one needs to be prepared to face harsh consequences, At the same time this strictly doesn’t mean that antisocial behaviour will be tolerated in a democratic country but the Article 19 of our Indian Constitution to holds some authority and existence and no one shall be deprived of it that’s why “Bol Ke Lab Azaad Hai Tere” is fair but actions like 26/11, the genocide of 1990 stand unacceptable and depicts sick mentality and shameful propagandas of few people from a community. Prophet was tolerant of other religions and it’s not imprinted in the ‘bible’, ‘Quran’ or ‘Gita’, to fight against humanity like cruel creatures. Problems don’t terminate here!
People being spectators argues with the delightful sip of their tea cups how India is turning out to be a ‘Hindu Nation’ but think over it, a legacy left after partition, making Pakistan a Muslim nation and India being the shelter and hope for Hindu Community and other minorities is the initial reason but apart from this fact, in the present scenario the second largest religion in India is Islam after Hinduism, So what justification and proofs one will be needing in the regard that not only Hinduism dominates the nation. But on this as well few Islam communities concerning people raised allegations of being excluded from CAA (2019) which guaranteed citizenship for persecuted minorities, being the second largest religious in-country, claiming the right of minorities and inflicting communal violence and disturbances in administrative functioning. Should it be interpreted as a hidden agenda or hypocrisy?
When intentions behind ‘Rozas’ and ‘Navratri Fasting’ is the same- “to praise the Lord and believe in them”, when’ Namaz ‘ or ‘Friday prayers’ and a ‘Kirtan’ can happen at the same time then why one cannot detoxify their minds about the ideology of two? When one cannot mind enjoying the delight of ‘Firni’ on Eid and a savoury box of sweets on Diwali then why mind confessing the pre-existence of two different cultures?. Agreeing to the ruling government, opposing the ruling or being neutral in your political opinions is fine but drawing boundaries between two communities is equal to burning your nation. Let’s be real secular not faking to be secular and make this nation a safe place for all of us. Oppose Islamic terrorism or anti-social activities in society but not ‘Islam’ or ’Hinduism’. Stop hurting each other’s religious sentiments and beliefs. Irrespective of my religion I support harmony in my society do you?
