The 50th session of the human rights council was on June 14th, 2022 in Montrbrillant- Cornavin Hotel, Geneva. The main focus of this meeting was to discuss the violations of child rights in the conflicted areas. They further talked about the fatalistic effects of the training in the madrasas of Pakistan and Afghanistan. This is a denial of their right to an education.
There was also a talk on the protection of child rights in the conflicted areas: the situation of child soldiers. According to Sahara Media, human rights activists, journalists, civil society organizations, experts, etc. graced the meeting.Â
The other issues discussed in the meeting were the root causes of the forced enrollment of children in conflicts in Africa and Asia.

According to the media, They have equally called for the popularization of the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child, the UN Convention on the Right of the Child, the implementation of the Optional Protocol on the involvement of the children in armed conflicts and the selling of children, pornography involving kids and child prostitution through an awareness-raising campaign.
They petitioned for the strengthening of observing mechanisms. They encouraged the construction of networks of civil society organizations for the cause of children.
