U.S President Joe Biden Nominates Indian-American Dr.Aarti Prabhakar as Top-science Advisor of USA.

The President of The United States Nominates Dr. Aarti Prabhakar for White house science advisor. Biden’s administration aims to leverage Science, technology and innovation.
Nomination for the Position:
The news is officially Confirmed by the Senate, Dr.Prabhakar will be President Biden’s Chief advisor For Science and Technology. She will also be a co-chair of the presidentโs Council advisor and a member of Presidentโs Cabinet.
On Tuesday, President Biden announced the nomination of Dr.Prabhakar to serve as a Director For science and Technology Policy. According to the nomination, โDr. Prabhakar will be Presidentโs advisor for Science and Technology, she will also be a member of Presidentโs Cabinet and a co-chair of Presidentโs Council OF advisorsโ said by the white house in a statement.
President Biden described the Indian-American Dr.Prabhakar as a brilliant and high-respected engineer and applied physicist. He also said that Indian Americans will lead the office of science and Technology to expand america’s possibilities and solve toughest challenges and make impossible the possible.
President Biden said,”I share Dr Prabhakar’s belief that America has the most powerful innovation machine the world has ever seen.โ Dr. Prabhakar has been confirmed by the Senate before, to lead the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and was the first woman to hold that role in USA.
The Nomination is historic for Dr. Prabhakar being the first woman, immigrant, or person of color nominated to serve as Senate-confirmed director of OSTP,” the White House said.
Dr. Aarti Prabhakarโs Life:
Dr. Prabhakarโs immigrated from India to USA when she was just 3 years old. They lived in Chicago first and then moved to Texas. She earned her Electrical engineer degree from Texas Tech University.
She was the first woman to earn a Ph.D. in applied physics from the California Institute of Technology, where she also earned an M.S. in electrical engineering. She started her career in the legislative branch as a Congressional Fellow at the Office of Technology Assessment.
She is a alumni of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a member of the National Academy of Engineering and was a researcher at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University.
