2021 T20 World Cup
From October 17, 2021, T20 World Cup will start. According to the report, the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) will announce the 15-member team India on September 7.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has set September 10 as the deadline for all participating countries to announce their team for the upcoming T20 World Cup. This year World cup will take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.
Meanwhile, ABP News has reported that the Board of Control for Cricket in India can announce a 15-member Indian team for the T20 World Cup on September 7.Â
As per a report, all prospective players who will be performing for the 2021 T20 World Cup (2021 T20 World Cup) will be announced by the BCCI. It has become somewhat clear that no player will get a place in the T20 World Cup based on their performance in IPL 2021.
Instead, team selectors and management have already made up their minds regarding players. According to the report, selection committee is ready to pick 15 players in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup.
Other than these 15, three reserve players will also be selected. Prithvi Shaw, Ishan Kishan and Rahul Chahar are the top choices to go to UAE as reserve players.
Keeping the speculation rife, it appears that Surya Kumar Yadav, spinner Varun Chakraborty and middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer can get to play in the T20 World Cup squad.
Team India Schedule T20 World Cup
The Indian team will battle out its first match against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. This match will take place on October 24.
After this, Team India will take on New Zealand on October 31, Afghanistan on November 3 and the qualifying team (B-1) in Super 12 on November 5.
Fifteen Probable Players of India for the T20 World Cup
Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli (c), Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Shreyas Iyer, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Varun Chakraborty and Mohammad Siraj.
Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has secured a permanent slot in all three formats. He has been rocking for the last four years.
Pant has scored 2292 runs in IPL, including one century and 14 half-centuries. His strike rate is also 150. With 32 T20 Internationals, he has scored 512 runs with the help of two half-centuries.
Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav is another rising star. Most Probably, he is to bat at number three in the T20 World Cup.
Surya has over 139 runs in just 4 T20 Internationals with a strike of around 170. In his short career, he has also scored two half-centuries. He has 2197 runs in his name in 108 matches of IPL.
