Presenel Kimpembe could be on his way to joining the North London club.
Chelsea is leaving no stone unturned to strengthen their defense after the departure of Anthony Rudiger and Andreas Christensen. The club has recently acquired the services of Senegalese center-back Koulibaly. The reports suggest that the club has an eye on the Juventus center-back Matthis De Ligt. Chelsea’s focus is fixated on City’s Dutch center-back Nathan Ake.
According to the recent reports from the king of transfers Fabrizio Romano, Thomas Tuchel is very keen to sign the World Cup-winning French center-back Presenel Kimpembe.
According to reports, Chelsea has offered a bid of around 45 to 50 million euros. Meanwhile, French giants are expecting at least 60 to 65 million euros to make this deal happen. In a few days, the footballing fate of Frenchmen will be decided by Ligue 1 champions.
French center-back previously worked with the German coach at PSG. Kimpembe working with Tuchel describes it to be a ‘pivotal summer’ of his career. Even the new boss of PSG Christopher Galtier has raised questions over the future of the Frenchman
“PSG considers Kimpembe a part of the project, but he can leave in case of a good proposal,” says Christopher Galtier.
Kimpembe has always boasted of PSG having a great youth setup. As he is also a PSG academy graduate who played for the first team. It seems that he is excited by the idea of developing local players to play the highest level or elite level of football.
Earlier this season French footballer said: “For me, it means a lot to be able to have PSG youth products on the pitch, it shows that there is a soul in this club. Colin (Dagba) showed what he was capable of, I am very proud of him. Collectively we did the job, but I would like to congratulate him because he was hyper-focused.”
Kimpembe has to compromise his principles to pave his way towards Stamford Bridge. On the contrary, even Presenel Kimpembe is more than happy to reunite with the German tactician. While playing under Tuchel, the French man realized his dream of playing in the finals of the UEFA Champions League.
