A new watch in town Samsung Galaxy watch 4 classic

Watches, to begin with, have evolved drastically since their advent in the 17th Century. Smart watch slowly creeps on our wrists as opposed to our traditional watches.

While some, like a mix of both times, may generally opt for Hybrid watches, the smartwatches appear to be a choice of the majority.  

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is now out.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series has two models- Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 classic.

The former model is priced at 23,999 for the 40mm Bluetooth only variant, while the LTE version is priced at Rs. 28,999. 44mm variant of the Galaxy Watch 4 is priced at Rs. 26,999 for Bluetooth version and Rs. 31,999 for the LTE version. 

Galaxy Watch 4 Classic comes in 42mm and 46mm models. The former 42mm model pricing for the Bluetooth version is Rs.31,999, and LTE enabled is priced at Rs.36,999. The 46mm model Bluetooth variant is priced at Rs.34,999 and LTE enabled at Rs.39,999

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 

The 52g Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is available in two dial sizes, powered b Exynos W920 dual-core processor clocked at 1.18 GHz with 361mAh Battery and wireless charging. In terms of looks, the stainless-steel case with a rotating bezel on top gives it a more premium appearance.  

With 1.4 inches Super AMOLED Display, slightly sunken within the bezel. 

Usage of Corning Gorilla Glass DX and shallow placement in the making will surely keep the scratches away.

Two physical buttons are there on the right, letting the user navigate through the UI. The Swipe gesture coupled with a rotating bezel works well to navigate around the menus and app. 

The watch adorns a fluoroelastomer strap and quick release pins making the swapping of it a minute job.

The underside of the same comes with Samsung BioActive Sensor used to measure heart rate and SpO2 levels.

The watch also takes into account stress and body composition. The watch four classics has 1.5GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage and supports Bluetooth 5, four satellite navigation systems, Dual-Band Wi-Fi and NFC. The watch sports a water resistance of 5ATM and is IP68 rated. 

The upgraded feature- Software 

 One of the exciting changes that appear in this model is the software. Samsung’s Tizen OS goes out, and the new WearOS comes in.

The change in software showcases the collaboration of Samsung with Google, letting users have access to Google apps on smartwatches produced by the tech giant- Samsung. Google Assistant, however, isn’t available in the classic model; Bixby is. 

One of the key features is its lack of compatibility with the iPhones; they can only pair with Android 6.0 or higher.  

 Needless to say, Yes! For the moment, the lack of compatibility with iOS devices devoid the tech giant of a market segment that is iPhone driven.

A significant chunk of the smartphone users uses Android, yet Samsung does miss out on the potential iPhone users’ feature.
