He played a pivotal role during the club’s UCL three-peat from 2016 to 2018. He is been regarded as one of the world’s best midfielders. Casemiro along with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in Real Madrid never lost a final in which they all started. He will leave Real Madrid with a rich legacy and as one of the club’s greatest ever legends.
Manchester United complete their midfielder hunt
The signing of Casemiro will significantly improve Man Utd’s messy midfield. It has been a long time since the club last signed a defensive midfielder. It is the right move at a time when the club is at its lowest point in history. Casemiro will join his compatriot Fred at Old Trafford and previous Real Madrid teammates Rafael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Casemiro’s signing also means that the Adrien Rabiot deal is completely off now. It was already reported that due to unexpected wage demands United has moved on. It is yet unclear whether the club is still pursuing Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong. It is over 100 days since they showed interest in him.
With over one week remaining in the transfer window, Manchester United has got in a top-quality player. Casemiro will join Malacia, Eriksen and Lisandro MartÃnez as new signings at the club.
