Eric Bailly will join Marseille after his goodbyes to his teammates in the next 24 hours. The deal between United and Marseille includes a mandatory buy clause if the French side qualifies for Champions League next season.
Eric Bailly played a total of 113 matches for Man Utd after joining the club in 2016 under manager Jose Mourinho. He played 70 matches in the Premier League scoring one goal and assisting one. He was pushed to being the 5th choice center back in the club after the arrival of Lisandro Martinez this summer.
Despite playing under Erik Ten Hag in the pre-season, the player could not cement himself in the manager’s plans for the season. And with rising competition for his place in the squad, it is for the best he leaves and plays elsewhere.
Injuries sidelined Eric Bailly last season
