On Thursday, the State-Owned Fuel Retailers announced the reduction in the prices of the commercial LPG Cylinders. The prices of the 19-kg LPG cylinders are now reduced in various cities, almost upto ₹100.
In today’s world of capitalism with prices increasing almost blindly, a slight relief has been induced. The State-Owned Fuel Retailers that make the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have announced the reduction in the prices of commercial liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders. There is, however, no change of prices for the domestic cylinders used in households.
The prices of 19-kg commercial usage LPG cylinders have been reduced by ₹91.50 starting from today, September 1, 2022.
OMCs change the pieces of the cylinder according to the market and there has been a lot of shuffling between the prices in the past months. Whenever there is a price change, the notification is issued almost immediately on the first day of the month itself.
In the month of June, the peak of prices of ₹2,354 was reduced to ₹2,219 when compared to the Month of May. Again in July, the prices saw a reduction upto of ₹98 making the cost decrease to ₹2,021. After a month, the cylinder cost Rs 2,021.
For August the prices were going on ₹1976.50 until it got changed in September again by the reduction of ₹91.50. The current price for the month of September now remains ₹1,885.
Check prices of LPG Cylinders in Cities
While there is no sure information about prices of the cylinders in the small cities, the prices of cylinders in big cities have surely been slashed. The big cities include: Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai.
The notification informed that a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder will now cost ₹1,885 in Delhi. The prices of cylinders in Delhi earlier was ₹1976.50 through August which has been reduced down by ₹91.50, starting today.
The commercial cylinders will cost ₹1,995.50 now in Kolkata after a reduction from ₹2,095.50.
Mumbai and Chennai face the same reduction in prices. A commercial cylinder will now cost ₹1,844 instead of ₹1,936.50 and ₹2,045 instead of ₹2,141 respectively.
