India’s semi-high-speed bullet train, Vande Bharat, breaks the record of bullet train on its first day of the trial run itself. The train reached the high speed of 100km/hr in only 52 seconds in its trial run from Ahmedabad to Mumbai on Friday.
The third Vande Bharat bullet train is all set to run the tracks of India with its record-breaking speed and facilities after it got its approval in trials.
The bullet train reaches a record-breaking speed of 100 km/hr in 52 seconds in its trial from Ahemdabad to Mumbai on Friday of September 8th, 2022. The maximum speed of the bullet train is 180 km/hr, as notified by the Ministry of Railways.
The earlier versions of it attained the same speed in 54.6 seconds while having a maximum speed of 160km/hr.
Even though the trains clearly can attain a maximum speed, they will run at a pace of 130km/hr during the commercial runs while the tracks get installed and updated.
With the train passing all the mandatory approvals, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is most likely to flag the newest Vande Bharat Express from Gandhinagar on 30 September.
Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw called the success a proud moment for Indian Railways and said,“We have shown that a fully loaded water glass has not shaken at the speed of 180kmph, but, it shook the world.”
The minister also talked about the ministry’s focus on not just producing trains but maintaining the tracks for running high-speed trains. He announced that the serial production of the rest 72 trains will start soon now that the final trial run of the third Vande Bharat Express is completed.
