The South Peninsula of India is expected to see heavy rains over the next four days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Until September 11, severe rainfall is predicted for several states in the east and along the west coast.

Heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected over southern states such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh in the coming days. “Fairly widespread/widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Lakshadweep & Tamil Nadu Puducherry & Karaikal on 07th; Rayalaseema during 07th-09th; Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and South Interior Karnataka during 07th-10th; Telangana, Coastal & North Interior Karnataka and Kerala & Mahe during next 5 days.” the IMD said in its weather bulletin.
Up until September 11, it’s anticipated that several states in the east and along the west coast may see severe rains. The MET department said, “Fairly widespread/widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls & thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 07th & 08th; Chhattisgarh & Vidarbha 09th-11th; Gujarat State & Gangetic West Bengal on 10th & 11th; Bihar, Jharkhand, East Madhya Pradesh on 11th and over Odisha, Marathwada, Konkan & Goa and Madhya Maharashtra during next 5 days.”
Odisha is predicted to have extremely heavy rains on September 9 and 10, as well as in Gujarat on September 11, Madhya Maharashtra, the Konkan, and Goa through Sunday.
During the coming days, there will likely be significant rainfall in the northeastern region of the nation.

Heavy rain is also forecast in Uttarakhand between September 9 and September 11.

The weather service in Gujarat has issued a red alert, warning of isolated exceptionally heavy rainfall throughout the region on Tuesday, September 13.
According to an IMD statement, fishermen are urged not to venture into the northwest and the west-central Bay of Bengal, as well as along and off the shores of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and West Bengal, on September 10 and 11.
