The third phase of the election began on February 20; while the state of Uttar Pradesh saw a grounding reaction to the second phase of the assembly elections, people are keeping their eyes on the third phase of the election. The Samajwadi Party president, Akhilesh Yadav, is holding a subtle booth at the Karhal constituency while the BJP leader and Union Minister S P Singh Baghel are watching the scenario doing almost nothing after his convoy got attacked the area of Karhal. While the fight for seats continues in the Karhal constituency, the site has been locked up with the lowest number of seats this time for the 2022 Assembly Elections.
BSP changing the route
While the tussle war is ongoing between BJP and the Samajwadi Party, BSP supremo Mayawati’s behavior is not contesting the Assembly polls; instead, she and the party are planning to take the MLC route if her party comes to power. Still, the reports are undeclared by the Bahujan Samaj Party, yet the party has changed the plan of action for the assembly elections.
The choices declared and showed by Mayawati kept the audience engaged about how the people are engrossing the assembly elections and keeping it as a state war between various political parties. BSP has come up with a large number of seats up till the end of the second phase, yet according to a local source, “people of Uttar Pradesh do not want BSP to come in power because their course of work is not understandable among the voters of the state.”
The persona changes between Yogi and Akhilesh
Two of the most promising leaders of Uttar Pradesh are contesting elections and facing each other in the assembly elections while having two very indifferent personalities and ideologies. Both Yogi Adityanath (current MLC) and Akhilesh Yadav (four-time ex-MLC) are making the polls for the first time; the two of the strongest leaders are trying to keep the fight between themselves. Amidst the start of the third phase, Yogi Adityanath is conducting public meetings so that interaction can be made with the public while delivering the message about the legacy of the Bharatiya Janata Party at the same time.
People of UP are comparing both the leaders with the sharks wanting to grasp and eat the state of Uttar Pradesh as a bigger reward for contesting the elections. The contrast between the two great profiles of Uttar Pradesh itself signifies the importance and relevance of the public meetings and media interactions. The constituency of Karhal and Mainpuri district has locked up the Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav with his popularity. While he is locked up in a triangular fight between Samajwadi Party, BJP, and Bahujan Samaj Party, the young leader is still trying to keep the constituency with himself.
The Heated fight for Karhal Constituency
Karhal is now a tip of the battleground for political parties such as the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Samajwadi Party. The district of Karhal will now witness the third phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election. The community has also seen some high voltage campaigns recently, preceded by Yogi Adityanath and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav.
The primary challenger for Akhilesh Yadav is BJP leader and Union Minister SP Singh Baghel, the MP of Agra. On another side from BSP, Kuldip Narayan is standing from the Karhal constituency. There are 1.40 lakhs of Yadav voters in Karhal, with OBC (Shakyas) counting up to 60000 voters, Brahmins and Thakurs adding the number to 25000 each respectively, and Dalits and Minorities make 55000 voting seats together.
