Sensational Neeraj Chopra’s silver win has again made headlines for winning a silver at the World Champions held in Eugene, United States. Gold medalist Neeraj Chopra has become the second Indian to win a medal in the International Athletics Event.Â

Although he has won gold at every major event, he was genuinely happy for a silver too. He will definitely have an eye on gold for the next World Athletic Championships in the next year, to be held at Budapest, Hungary.Â
Although he starts every event with a bang, in the World Championships uncharacteristically he was slow to get off the blocks. In the first three rounds, he saw himself out of the medal winning positions. But he kept his calm and sailed through the rough waters. On his fourth attempt he flung the javelin to 88.13 meter to earn a second spot.Â
He pointed out that the harsh weather conditions and wind speed deterred his start.Â
Neeraj Chopra has said that he is eagerly waiting for the Diamond League as it is the only major medal that is missing from his cabinet. He explained that he was not under stress as he was an Olympic champion but he has a greater hunger to change the colour of the medal in Budapest.Â
The next task for Neeraj Chopra will be to defend his title in the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Anderson Peter who won gold in this championship will also be in action in the Commonwealth Games.
