On Sunday, the defence ministry called a press conference for clearing all the doubts of every aspirant and told why Agnipath won’t be rolled back.
The press conference was announced for clearing all the doubts of everyone about Agnipath. In the press conference, three service chiefs clarify all the reasons why Agnipath should come into force.
Additional secretary Lt gen Anil Puri addressed the press conference and told everyone the reason for bringing a new recruitment model. He said “the reform was long pending. It was announced on June 14 but we wanted to bring this reform from 1998 but at that time their was some works which should be done before bringing the reform.”

“Agnipath scheme will bring youthfulness to armed forces while maintaining the “Hosh & Josh” in the Agniveers. In year 2050 our country will have most of the youth under 25 year old. So, we want to use it as an advantage. We discussed this with all military chiefs gernals and studied other countries Military age system” Anil Puri said.
Meanwhile, talking about the reservations for the ‘Agniveers’ by different ministers. The defence ministry said that all the announcements are pre-planned and not taken as a reaction to the arson at the protest against the scheme. The defence ministry also previously requested all the aspirants to calm down and clear their doubts about Agnipath by going to nearby military bases located near their locality.

In the same vein, we can see that aspirants set fires in train boogies, and police vehicles in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Telangana with the intention to destroy government property.
Lt Gen also said, “Right now most of the jawans are in the 30 and the officers were getting command much later than in the past. We are aiming to bring a low-age profile. We want to bring the age of Commander to 26 in the upcoming 5-6 years.
Furthermore, he added that around 14,000 jawans from the Indian army, 3000 from the Indian Navy, and 500 from the Air force take premature retirement between the age of 35-40 which sum up to approx 17,500 which is a huge number to go outside and start a whole new career.”
Our new generation is also fitter and more sharp-minded in technology as compared to us which will benefit the armed forces in upcoming war situations.

“The ‘Agniveers’ would get the same allowance in areas like Siachen and other areas which are applicable to the regular soldiers serving at present. No discrimination against them in service conditions,” the defence ministry official said.
He also mentioned that “the intake of soldiers will be increased up to 1 lakh, but for now we are starting with 46,000 to analyse the scheme and to do what is needed to build the infrastructure.”
Meanwhile, the Air Marshal SK Jha said, “the registration will start from June 24 to June to July 24 for batch one. phase 1 will be the online examination and first batch will be enrolled by the end of this year and start training from December 30.”
