Ahead of the auction of the IPL, Ahmedabad Franchise revealed its team name as Gujarat Titans, which is debuting in this 15th season of IPL along with Lucknow Super Giants. The Franchise has three players ahead of the IPL auction, Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill. The mega auction will be held on February 12 & 13.
Titans team will be played under the captaincy of all-rounder Hardik Pandya. It will be the first time Pandya will lead the IPL franchise. Formerly, he was an integral part of the Mumbai Indians. It would not be wrong to say that Pandya’s strong performance took the team to new heights.
Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan is also on the team. He was the former star performer for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The third name in the squad is Right-handed batsman Shubman Gill, who was earlier playing for Kolkata Knight Riders.
This will be the second IPL franchise for all three players.
Former Indian cricketer Ashish Nehra is associated with Gujarat Titans as a coach. While Gary Kirsten, who won the world cup for team India. He will be with the team as a mentor. Apart from these, Vikram Solanki will be the director of the team.

There is a story behind why Gujarat Titans have named their team this way, which was disclosed by the team itself. Gujarat Titans team owner Siddharth Patel said that we did a lot of research about Gujarat Titans. We had hired an agency for this, our efforts were to present the image of the whole of Gujarat.
