In order to save the Women’s U-17 World Cup, whose hosting was in danger when FIFA suspended the AIFF elections, the SC rendered a decision on August 22 that terminated the CoA’s term, banned the inclusion of 36 former players in the electoral college, and postponed the elections by a week.
But on Friday, FIFA withdrew the ban, making way for India to host the Women’s U-17 World Cup.
