Manchester United were also interested to sign Bologna center-forward Marko Arnautovic. The Austrian player and Manchester United agreed the personal terms. He was very keen for this move to happen. But the demands presented by the Italian club Bologna was high as sky resulting in the United shying away to make the move for the Austrian player.
After the rumour of Austrian joining United broke out in Internet. Manchester United faced backlash. The red devils were not to keen to sign the striker, who has a history of being racist. They were also not too keen on adding Austrian striker to a squad which already has Ronaldo.
In the last winter transfer window, Spanish striker Morata was keen to play under Xavi. Personal terms were agreed between the player and the club. But the price for the striker seemed too inflated for the Catalan club. So they dropped the idea of signing former Juventus striker.
