Portugal wildfire continues to rage - Asiana Times

Thousands of firefighters and 60 aircraft deployed and dozens injured. More than 3,000 firefighters and 60 aircraft are warring nearly 250 wildfires across central and northern Portugal, which have left at least 29 people severely injured. A dozen out of the 29 injured people were firefighters. The firefighters and civilians have been given immediate medical attention for breathing problems. British cave rescue divers rewarded with honorary degrees - Asiana Times

Canada covertly changes the name of Turkey to Turkiye

The Canadian government has silently changed the name Turkey to the official spelling in Turkish, Türkiye, on all official documents and communications. By Akansha Gupta 10/07/2022 Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government requested to change Turkey’s common name to Türkiye. It wishes for the international community to recognize the traditional spelling of the country’s name.
