Russia, as expected, vetoed a UN Security Council resolution on Friday that “deplores in the strongest terms” Russia’s “aggression” against Ukraine and calls for its soldiers to be withdrawn immediately. With Ukraine’s airspace closed, India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is sending teams to “the land borders… in Hungary, Poland, the Slovak Republic, and Romania” to aid in the evacuation of Indian people stranded there.
