Calcutta HC admits 3 PILs on KK’s death

Calcutta High Court admitted three PILs ( Public Interest Litigations) looking for the Court’s intervention in fixing the responsibilities of the total negligence that took place in Nazrul Mancha on May 31st where singer Krishnakumar Kunnat ( KK) performed at a packed audience followed which he fell ill and died. Chief Justice Prakash Srivastava and Justice Rajarshi Bharadwaj directed the government to file the document within the three weeks and have also asked the administration to be careful in the future so that such tragic incidents do not happen. Hong Kong: Iconic floating Jumbo restaurant sinks - Asiana Times

Duare Ration scheme not illegal: Calcutta High Court

On Thursday, the Calcutta High Court stated that there was no unlawfulness with the Duare Ration Scheme. In 37 page judgment of Justice Krishna Rao stated that Section 24(2)(b) National Food Security Act, 2013 puts a question on the State Government to make sure the delivery or supply of the food grains to the authorized persons. Fina bans trans swimmers from women’s elite events
