Pradeep Sarkar, one of India’s renowned filmmakers, died on March 24, 2024, at the age of 67. Sarkar had been admitted to the Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra, Mumbai, following a viral fever. Afghanistan Earthquake: On Tuesday evening, a strong quake hit a remote mountainous area in northeastern Afghanistan, near the border with Pakistan, causing 19 fatalities and over 200 injuries.
