Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman chaired the 49th GST Council Meeting held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 16th February inaugurated National Tribal Festival Aadi Mahotsav at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi. The agenda of this festival is to showcase to the world the diversity in tribal culture, crafts, cuisine, commerce and traditional art. The Cabinet chaired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has decided to allocate Rs.4800 Crore towards this scheme for the Financial Years 2022-23 to 2025-26. This scheme will ensure extensive and inclusive development of villages along the northern border area.
