Amid covid surge, China worries: lockdowns influence economic transactions

China witnessed a high jump in daily Covid 19 infections on Tuesday, with doubling of cases just in a day, raised concerns about the rising economic costs of its tough measures to contain the disease. The total count of the cases were 3,507 domestically transmitted cases with confirmed symptoms were reported on Monday across more than a dozen provinces and municipalities, while there were 1,337 cases reported a day earlier, the National Health Commission said. Ukraine crisis: Putin’s associate wishes to “quicken” the war

One of the closest associates of President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia’s military operation in Ukraine had not all gone as quickly as the Kremlin had wanted, the strongest acknowledgement yet from Moscow that its invasion is not going to plan. Ukraine, Russia war: Huge Russian convoy redeploys, shows Satellite images

Photos from satellite have shown that the huge Russian convoy has appeared to be dispersed. The convoy had been stationed outside the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. Maxar Technologies said satellite images taken on Thursday showed that the 40 miles long line of vehicles, tanks and artillery has broken up and been redeployed.
