On Saturday the court granted bail to B. S. Yeddyurappa in a land denotification case. The case was filed by Vasudeva Reddy, a resident of Bangalore city, in the year 2013; he was accused of denotifying of the land which was acquired for an IT park by Karnataka AIDB (Area Industrial Development Board). In the year 2017 Gurmeet Ram Rahim was convicted in rape case and was sent to 20 years of imprisonment for raping two women who were the followers of Ram Rahim in the ashram in Sirsa. The court granted him one month of parole, earlier in February the chief of the ashram was granted three weeks of temporary leave from the jail.
