The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported a case of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-Covid) in a 28-year-old man from Al Ain City, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The man was admitted to the hospital last month after testing positive for MERS-Covid. Fortunately, all 108 individuals who had come in contact with the infected individual were traced and none of them showed any symptoms of the infection, according to the WHO. Listeria outbreak in Washington kills 3 adults  - Asiana Times

State and local officials in Washington are currently investigating a severe outbreak of Listeria infections that has proven to be fatal. On July 21, the Department of Health in Washington state reported that five adults over the age of 60 had been infected with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that causes listeriosis. Sadly, three of these individuals have passed away from severe infections. According to the health department, all five individuals had compromised immune systems.
