Insolvency law delays: major changes proposed

Against the prescribed 14 days to get a claim admitted, it takes 650 days. To address this issue the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) has taken the necessary steps to solve the same. The operational creditors are finding it difficult to establish the delay in the courts. To answer this concern the board has suggested that the submission of GST (Goods and Service Tax) filing along with the e-way bill is more than enough to prove the delay. Hospital Clerk charges for taking bribe in Thane

A bribe of Rs. 1,05,000 for clearing bills was taken by the hospital clerk in Thane. A clerk working at the Thane Civil Hospital in Thane, Maharashtra was caught red-handed. He was found taking bribe from one of the patients of the hospital. The bribe was not offered but asked for Rs.1,05,000 which was negotiated and brought down to Rs.60,000. The bribe was asked to facilitate the clearance of the patients’ hospital bills. Out of the agreed Rs.60,000, an amount of Rs.20,000 was paid beforehand.
