ANOTHER HUMAN-ANIMAL CONFLICT IN KERALA

A wild elephant was electrocuted due to human-animal conflict. The trap was laid by unidentified people in the Palakkad district of Kerala. The age of the elephant is believed to be between 15 and 20 years. The place where the incident took place is an estate owned by a private individual who has lived in the district for more than three decades. Armenia and Azerbaijan in a new round of border clash.

A border clash erupted along the borders of both countries in which around 100 people were killed. According to Armenia, Azerbaijan shelled its several regions including Jermuk and Goris. Whereas Azerbaijan says that the attack was to counter the large-scale provocations by the Armenian troops. 49 soldiers were killed on the Armenian side and 50 on Azerbaijan’s side. Varanasi tops the list of cities cutting PM10 levels: Govt.

Varanasi records the highest reduction of 53% in the levels of PM10 says the government. In 2017, the concentration of PM10 in the city was 244 micrograms per cubic meter which got reduced to 114 micrograms per cubic meter in 2021-2022. The High Court directed St Stephen to withdraw its prospectus for admission 2022-2023.
