“Over 3.2 crore given the benefit of hospital facilities under Ayushman Bharat Scheme so far” says Health Ministry - Asiana Times

The Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana declined to order status quo on the ongoing gyanvapi mosque survey. Although he agreed to consider an urgent listing of plea that challenges the videography in process of the survey at the mosque. The plea was filed by the ‘Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee’ (the caretakers of the gyanvapi mosque), asking to put hold on the survey. The Supreme Court, on Thursday 12th May asked for the establishment of peace and love between the communities whilst hearing the bail plea filed by Jitendra Tyagi alias Waseem Rizvi (Jitendra Narayan Tyagi alias Wasim Rizvi v/s The State Of Uttarakhand). Jitendra Tyagi was arrested after connections were found, during the investigation, with hate speech at the Dharma Sansad which was held in December 2021. The supreme court on May 11th restrained the centre and states from registering FIRs, continuing investigations and taking any coercive measures under Section 124A by freezing the colonial law of sedition. The three-judge bench led by the Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana said that if any fresh cases are registered under section 124A of the Indian Penal Code, the accused is free to approach the court concerned.
